As we age, the pH of the skin's surface tends to rise, moving away from the equilibrium value of 5.5.
A study published in the European Medical Journal* revealed that the constant use of cosmetics and detergents close to pH 4 on senile skin tends
to restore the pH of the skin towards more correct values, improving
the functionality and natural defenses of the epidermis.
Dermarays product lines are created at pH 4.0/4.5 to lower the pH values (usually too high) of the stratum corneum and preserve and rebalance the skin.

The mucosa in the oral cavity is characterized by a superficial layer of cells that regenerates every 7-14 days. The salivary and sebaceous glands situated under the mucosa have important functions for lubrication, mucous membrane cleaning, tongue cleaning, bacterial development control. In elderly subjects and in people who are not self-sufficient, the reduction of salivary secretion and mobility of the lingual muscles entails an increased risk for oral health: the residues of the secretion or of the same foods increase and they could be easily colonized by bacteria and fungi. If a proper oral hygiene is not performed, all this can lead to pathologies such as periodontitis, gingivitis, ulcer formations and abscesses. For this reason it is important to use Dermarays sanitizing solutions, which help to prevent the onset of such infections, moisturizing the mucous membranes.
SANITIZE
Sanitizing of the skin is a fundamental procedure to prevent the proliferation of microorganisms and can also be a useful aid able to prevent infections or pathological disorders. The sanitation procedure makes the skin clean and disinfected. So it is particularly suitable in cases where the skin must be preserved healthy being predisposed to injuries. Besides the particular environmental conditions make it predisposed to risks of contagion or pathologies.

+ Restoration of the skin hydrolipidic film
Dermarays moisturizing treatments are created to restore the natural hydrolipidic film of the skin that has the task of protecting it from external agents, helping to prevent problems of skin dryness (xerosis) or more serious pathologies such as dermatitis or keratosis.
