Oral hygiene

The mucosa in the oral cavity is characterized by a superficial layer of cells that regenerates every 7-14 days. The salivary and sebaceous glands situated under the mucosa have important functions for lubrication, mucous membrane cleaning, tongue cleaning, bacterial development control. If a proper oral hygiene is not performed, serious diseases such as periodontitis, gingivitis, ulcers or accesses could occur.
